Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, and New Mexico Dispersed Camping Maps Are Now Live

May 11, 2026

Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, and New Mexico are now live on Here To Camp — and this is a big release for us!

The Details:

Four states in one update means we just added a huge amount of public land to the platform. We’re talking roughly 50 million acres of national forest across these four states alone — Idaho leads the way with approximately 20.4 million acres, Montana adds another massive chunk, and Wyoming and New Mexico round it out with some of the most spectacular dispersed camping terrain in the country.

All four states are fully mapped with interactive GPS overlays built from US Forest Service Motor Vehicle Use Map (MVUM) data — the actual roads where dispersed camping is legal, pulled straight from the source. No PDF’s, no guesswork, ALL DIGITAL!

The maps work the same way they do across every state on the platform: zoom into where you want to adventure, find an orange route, and save some pins. Whether you’re chasing solitude in the Salmon-Challis, exploring the Gila in New Mexico, or setting up a basecamp in the Bridger-Teton; it’s all here!

One membership gets you access to every state we’ve built, plus everything we add going forward. If you’re already a member, all four states are live in your account right now, check it out! If you’ve been on the fence, this is a great time to jump in.

More states are coming soon!
